Old Is Everywhere!

Gods I’m so behind here!!!

Sunday we didn’t have much planned again, save for going out to lunch to a lovely pub for Jean’s birthday. It was earlier in the month, but I wanted to celebrate it in a nice way with her.

We went to a lovely pub called The Hest Bank Inn. Despite the word ‘inn’ in the name, it is only a pub. It was built in 1544 and served for a while as a coaching inn, the last stop before people crossed Morecambe Bay via coach. Coaching inns were the places where stagecoaches would acquire fresh horses if the trip was long.

I had a thin cut steak with Bernaise sauce and French fries. It was quite lovely.

We didn’t do much else because I was still suffering from jet lag. 😦
