This weekend I received a copy of this book from a friend of mine. Apparently she was recently in a used bookshop in the French Quarter (New Orleans) and saw it as she was searching for something else. She knows that I am an Anglophile myself so she bought it for me. I thought it was quite lovely of her to think of me like that. So now I have another book to add to my collection of books about life in Great Britain. I like that this one is written by an American woman who married a British man and moved over there. I think her insight will be similar to what I write here. It’s at the bottom of my ‘to be read’ pile because I’ve got a handful of other books I bought before I even knew of this one. I’ll write about it once I get around to reading it.
