First I would like to congratulate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on being the longest reigning monarch in British history. She has now officially out reigned her great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, who previously held the record. Though she be 89 I hope her life continues to be fruitful.
I would also like to apologize for neglecting to recognize the anniversary of the tragic death of Princess Diana. On 1 August 1997 she was taken from our lives, but never our hearts. This year on 1 July she would have celebrated her 50th birthday. Though she is no longer with us, I think she would be incredibly proud of who her sons have become.
