Holy cow! I didn’t realize there were 8,000 people outside of London! LOL No, I’m kidding. I know there are plenty of wonderful Brits who are living outside of London. I know of three special ones: one in Morecambe, Lancs. and two in Gloucester.
I think it’s wonderful that so many people are allowed to be involved in this major event, even if they cannot afford a ticket to any specific sporting event. I think any Brit has a better chance of being part of something like this than an American like me does, so kudos to those Brits who are running or jogging or using some other zany method to get the torch to its next destination. I hope it’s a memory that will last a lifetime.
I’m really excited to see the Olympics this year because it’s in London and I will be secretly routing for all British athletes over Americans. Unless, of course, Brits aren’t in a particular medal round.
